    Free LifeOS and LifeOS Pro

    Free LifeOS is a complete tool for everyday capture. Consider the independently paid LifeOS Pro when you need to schedule tasks or manage work across projects.

    The free plugin does not include a centralized unfinished-task workspace or topic task overview. Its existing capture features remain complete, with no record limits or purchase requirement.

    From capturing an idea to planning work

    For a product launch, capture “Write the release notes”, link the project topic and add a basic task in the free plugin. Return to the daily note with Today's records.

    When three projects compete for your time, Pro's calendar and centralized task views help you decide what to schedule today. This existing screenshot shows the Pro calendar and unfinished tasks inside Obsidian; it is not a free-plugin preview.

    Reuse your existing notes

    1. Back up the vault, including .obsidian.
    2. In the free plugin's Usage and upgrade settings, check the periodic folder, record heading and PARA folders.
    3. Use the purchase page to obtain LifeOS Pro and its activation instructions. Follow the instructions supplied after purchase to install and activate it in the separate .obsidian/plugins/lifeos-pro/ folder; do not overwrite the free plugin. Then use the Pro settings entry to configure matching folders manually.
    4. Check topic tags, task syntax, templates and date naming with a few test records. Extended syntax is not guaranteed to work identically in both plugins.
    5. Avoid simultaneous synchronization or automatic writes by both plugins. Disable the free plugin after verification and keep the original notes and backup.

    This process does not move Markdown files, automatically convert notes, or transfer private Pro settings or activation data. See the handover guide (Chinese).

    LifeOS Pro is independently paid; this free plugin has no paid unlocks. Calendar Pro, DeepAsk and paid Aino products have separate licenses. Pro's calendar capabilities do not imply those licenses are included. See pricing for current purchase options.
